DocMatching was designed by busy physicians for busy physicians.
Many physicians spend more time at work than at home, and doing a thorough search to find the right job is crucial. Rather than spending countless hours searching for available jobs and sending multiple applications individually, now you have the option (free to board certified/board eligible physicians practicing within the United States) to participate in our DocMatching system.
DocMatching uses an algorithm that takes your individual search criteria into account in order to find the most relevant job opportunities for you. The system will notify you while sending your profile automatically to the 3* jobs that best match your criteria.
*If you would like to have your profile sent to more than 3 jobs, please call us at 315-256-9200.
How does DocMatching work?
When you register for DocMatching (name, email address and specialty), you will immediately receive an email from DocWorking titled “Questionnaire.” This questionnaire is designed to learn what criteria are important to you in your job search. When you return the answers via email, DocMatching will create a profile about you to send to the top 3* best matching jobs. You are free to answer as many or as few questions as you would like. Please keep in mind that the more information the DocMatching system has about what is important to you in your search, the better the top matches will be.
What will be included in my profile?
Your profile, which is only sent to your top 3* best job matches, includes your name, email address, phone number, best way to contact you, specialty, board certification status, medical school and graduation year, residency program and year of completion, fellowship program and year of completion (if applicable), state(s) where licensed, and yes/no regarding history of any disciplinary action, suspension and/or malpractice case(s). Your profile will also include at least one phrase regarding why you are a good match for the opportunity, such as, “relocating to San Diego to be closer to family,” or “interested in joining a high volume private practice group in North Carolina.”
How does DocMatching determine my top 3* best matches?
When your questionnaire is received, the DocMatching system creates your profile and also incorporates any additional information you have provided about your criteria for your search/what is important to you, into an algorithm that finds the 3* best suited jobs for you. You will then receive an email listing those jobs while the system will send your profile to each of those job listing agents.
**Depending on how strict your criteria are, your specialty/subspecialty, and the current job market, there may be fewer than 3 best matches. The process is designed to find the right opportunity just for you, thereby narrowing your search to truly relevant jobs.
