| San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles – Providence Health & Services and several busy private practice groups are partnering to bring California-licensed, BE/BC OB/GYN physicians to serve the beautiful San Fernando Valley. About the Providence Facility: Providence Holy Cross, a full service hospital, has been rated in the top 5 percent of Hospitals by HealthGrades since 2005 and attained Magnet Status for nursing. A newly enlarged 34-bed emergency department and a 142-bed “green” patient care wing opening in 2010 will enhance this nationally recognized hospital and trauma center, the preferred hospital of the dominant medical groups in the north San Fernando Valley. Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center has established high standards of excellence, receiving multiple five-star ratings from HealthGrades. Saint Joseph offers the $40 million free-standing Disney Family Cancer Center, Stroke Center Certification, and STEMI Receiving Center designation for cardiac patients, advanced imaging services including 64-slice PET/CT, digital mammography, robotic surgery, 13 inpatient surgery suites and 29 emergency beds. Providence Tarzana Medical Center, with 245 beds, is ranked among the top 10 percent in the nation for treatment of stroke, is the best-rated hospital in the San Fernando Valley for treatment of heart attack, and has received several five-star ratings from HealthGrades.
