| CHIEF, SECTION OF CRITICAL CARE AND DIRECTOR, CRITICAL CARE UNITS St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and the Department of Pediatrics of Drexel University College of Medicine are seeking applicants for the position of Chief, Section of Critical Care and Director, Critical Care Units at the hospital. We are looking for an individual with leadership skills and vision, who will steward a growing group of health professionals in providing excellent quality care to patients and guide the professional and academic development of the faculty in the section. In this position, the selected individual will actively interact with hospital and departmental leadership, develop care standards and assist hospital leadership in programmatic development. St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children is a 189-bed quaternary care children’s hospital in Philadelphia with a long history and national reputation of excellence in care and education, as well as academic and research programs. Opportunities and institutional support for clinical research are many and varied. The hospital counts with an Intensive Care, Special Care (step-down), Burn Care and Cardiac Care Units, which have experienced steady growth, as well as state of the art support services. There is an active Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Program and a growing Congenital Heart Surgery Program. All medical and surgical specialties are represented on the staff of the hospital. Plans are underway for a complete renovation of the critical care units. This position represents a unique opportunity for an innovative and enterprising academic physician interested in a leadership position. Salary and benefits are highly competitive.
